Really small puzzle pieces
As a child, I enjoyed taking things apart. Occasionally, I would put them back together in a different way. Once you reduce an item into pieces, the enjoyable part of the puzzle is to create new ideas, art or tools.
Imagine if we could take organs or skin or bones and reduce them down to the point of having puzzle pieces that could replace a broken arm, failing eye or damaged liver.
I wonder if starship doctors ever used the replicator in this manner?

Played a few StarCraft II games tonight....
…and I am out of practice. I need to put in some quality time in order to freshen up my skills.
Why so negative?
Do you know why some people take a negative view of any topic? I don’t have an answer. Just the question.
Taking a positive view seems so much better. It feels easier to do. And it has a beneficial effect on your mood and the mood of those around you.
Like the proverbial glass of water, do you want to enjoy what is missing, or what is there?
I prefer to enjoy every drop that is there.
You?
Gearbox Comic
At Jeff Goldsmith’s movie Q&A tonight, I had the pleasure of meeting Mark Steger.
Mark is amazing. If you saw Tool’s Schism video, Mark is unforgetable. His body is from another reality, and he moves with a precision only matched by Tool’s music.
Mark is working on a online comic named Gearbox. Check it out here.

Some notes on love from Ray Bradbury
I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Ray Bradbury at the Greater Los Angeles Writer’s Society.
His talk was very inspiring. His overall theme was love. His love for writing, for words, for reading and creating was amazing.
Here are my scattered notes from his talk:
Ray Bradbury — Hybrid Lover
Fall in love!
Stay in love!
Do what you love!
Marry a bright woman and you’ll be set for life.
You see what love does? I had written two novels and didn’t even know it.
Following a secret tradition of my metaphorical soul.
I loved Fellini, he loved me.
Love is everything.
Need more slack in your life?
Then you should be listening to the SubGenius Hour of Slack.
It is a barrage of media, sliced and diced into brain vitamins that fit neatly into your ear canal.
As a ordained minister in the Church of the SubGenuis, I can pray that Bob graces you with slack.
Praise Bob!
Of words and clarity
Did it ever occur
to you
that the clarity
of
the words you choose
the words you say
the words you think
may have greater impact
than the intent
you infused them with?
Choose
your words
with care.
